“I won’t let you treat me this way, Matthew. I’ll refuse to stay with you and to let you do those things to me.”
“What things would they be, Gina,” he asked amused by her indignation. “Those sexy, erotic things you know you enjoy so much,” he whispered. “Like being tied up and used, as you put it?”
Gina couldn’t do this. She wanted him – more than any man she’d ever known but surely she should have some say in what happened within this relationship.
“I won’t just restrain and fuck you either,” he told her quietly. “I’ll use things – I have a chamber full of interesting equipment and toys we can play with.”
Use things. How dare he threaten her like this after the warning she’d just given him?
Sorry if what I say upsets you,” he apologised contritely seeing her face flash with annoyance. “But I simply say it as I see it and you enjoy having sex with me, in fact you enjoy it very much and in any way I care to offer it, so your bad attitude doesn’t do you any favours, Gina. You’re just denying yourself the pleasure you desire so very much.”
“Your freaky bedroom antics worry me, Matthew. What you want to do to me isn’t normal,” she flashed at him angrily. “So don’t come near me again or you’ll regret it.”
When she’d lashed at him verbally Gina had meant every word. But the reality was she really didn’t have any idea just how she’d carry out such a threat, not incarcerated in his villa alone with him. The reality was she was quite helpless against him, well her body certainly was.
Gina sat back and closed her eyes. She hated him! No she didn’t, it was far worse than that, she fancied him like mad, needed him and desperately wanted him to need her back. She refused to even consider any other emotion right now, and particularly not that one, the love one. That was the one thing that terrified Gina most that she would fall in love with him. Given his attitude to women that was a definite no, no and she was wise enough to know she’d have to tread very carefully indeed.
“So tell me more,” she asked finally and once she’d calmed down. “About you and your wife and why you split.”
“Still curious about me are you, Miss Deverell? Well all you really need to know is that I’m not married anymore so that should ease your mind.”
“Did you do things with her, with Lisa? Did she let you tie her and the rest?”
“No she didn’t,” he admitted with a frown.
“So was that it – is that why you couldn’t stay with her? Because if it was then I want you to know that I’m not one of your freaky conquests either, Matthew, so remember that once we get to Italy.”
“You are nothing like Lisa and unlike her you do have a taste for my sort of sex. So don’t try to pretend otherwise.” He tried to kiss her cheek again but she shuffled out of reach.
At these words Gina was too angry to hold back and she lashed out with the flat of her hand and slapped him hard across his face.
“No I don’t – it’s you, it’s all you,” she ranted at him. “And if you try to touch me again, Dark, I’ll rip your head off!” She tore herself from his grip just in time to see the flight attendant hovering again this time proffering food.
“Fiery little thing aren’t you? I like that,” he told her once the attendant had left their side. “In many ways you remind of Lisa,” he told her quite unfazed by her outburst. “Despite your girlish little protests you do like what I do to you and the way I do it, don’t you, Gina?” He waited but she turned from him and scowled out of the window. “Whether you’re prepared to admit it or not, I know I’m right. So think about it, Gina because if you don’t agree to submit to what I want I will repeat what happened in my penthouse.”
Submit to what he wants, arrogance of the man! Gina could barely believe what she was hearing and did he mean it, would he really continue to force her? Well, perhaps that was putting it a bit strong because she did want him, didn’t she just roll over and dissolve into a needy wreck whenever he came near her? She closed her eyes; she was fed up of fighting him and probably needed to conserve some strength for Portofino.
